Leigh Moran, designer

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Leigh was raised in a southern home rooted in family, faith, and friendship. Leigh graduated from Evangelical Christian School in Memphis, then left home to attend Baylor University in Texas. Pursuing a law career, Leigh went on to receive her J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where she met her husband, Jerry. 

Jerry and Leigh married in 1990 and moved to Charlotte, NC to begin their life as a family. Jerry and Leigh gave birth to their first daughter in 1992, their second in 1996, and their third in 1998. When their family was full, busy, and happy with three daughters, Leigh decided to end her law career.

In 2000, Leigh began Patina Antiques & Interiors as a "pop up" shopping experience.  With her designer friend Nancy Maloney with Good Manors, the two combined their talents and sources to offer antique furnishing and accessories from England and France as well as new decorative items including lighting and accessories.  From this experience, Leigh launched interior design services, working with clients on projects both big and small, ensuring that her clients fall in love with their homes. From consulting on which fabric to cover a chair to designing a home from scratch, Leigh is willing to do it all. 

Leigh and Jerry have lived in Charlotte, NC for 28 years now. Their first home together was in the Dilworth neighborhood, where they began their family. In 1993, Leigh and Jerry bought a stone-built, cottage-styled 1920 home in Myers Park that needed a major renovation and a designer's eye who could see the potential. For the next 22 years, this house was home. Leigh constantly renovated the interior of this house, always excited to try something new. In 2015, the Morans decided to move back to Dilworth, taking on a year-long renovation. Now empty-nesters, Leigh and Jerry have loved beginning their new chapter in this home.
